On November 30, the Drohobytsk community met a funeral convoy with the body of the fallen Hero Ihor Predeus, who defended Ukraine since 2014 and died a brave death at the hands of Moscow executioners.
Ihor Predeus is a native of the Zaporizhzhia region. Since 2014, he has defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the ATO zone. He lived in Drohobych since 2017.
As soon as the full-scale invasion began, Ihor immediately joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine. Performed difficult tasks in hot spots of the front, destroying enemies and protecting Ukraine.
Unfortunately, on August 29, 2022, contact with the soldier was lost, after which there was a long search and clarification of information. It was not long before it was possible to return the defender – the tortured remains of the Hero were returned during the exchange of the bodies of the dead defenders of “Azovstal”. After that there were long DNA tests and only now the parents of the deceased will finally be able to bury their son so that his soul can find eternal peace.
Today, November 30, the funeral convoy with the body of the fallen defender of Ukraine arrived in Drohobych. He was met traditionally at the Crossroads of Heroes, after which a city-wide farewell was held in the central Rynok square.
Relatives, relatives, comrades-in-arms and the leadership of the Drohobytsk community met the fallen Hero on their knees. A joint prayer was held under the accompaniment of clergymen, after which, to the sounds of a military band, the funeral procession was led to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, where the funeral rite took place.
The deceased was buried on the Alley of Fame. The defender is survived by his mother, father, brother and son and daughter.
