Today, Lviv says goodbye to two Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine

On Monday, February 13, Lviv will say goodbye to two more Heroes. Zenovii Deinega and Serhiy Shuran defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The Heroes’ funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square.

Therefore, the Heroes will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery.

Biographical references of Heroes

Zenova Deinega (26.08.1986 – 05.02.2023). A native of the village of Kvitneve, Lviv region.

He studied at the local secondary comprehensive school, and later entered the Mykola Lebed Novostrilyshchan Lyceum. After completing his studies, he served as part of the A3522 military unit.

In peacetime, he worked at the First Private Brewery LLC, then as a construction worker at local construction companies.

He liked to devote his time to fishing and collecting mushrooms. In 2014-2015, he performed combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the ranks of the 3rd Battalion of Territorial Defense “Volya”.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he voluntarily joined the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For personal valor, he was awarded numerous awards, in particular, the “Together to Victory” medal. Operation of the United Forces”.

Zenovia Deinega is survived by his wife, two sons, mother, sister, brother and grandmother.

Serhiy Shuran (02.02.1977-02.02.2023) from Lviv.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 30. Graduated from Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after Stepan Gzhitskyi.

In the mid-1990s, he served as part of the A3866 military unit. Since 2000, he worked in the bodies of the criminal and executive system of Ukraine. Until 2005, he performed military service under a contract as part of the A0150 military unit.

Subsequently, he was engaged in international cargo transportation. In his free time, he was fond of fishing.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he performed combat missions in the ranks of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” Regional Directorate of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Serhiy Shuran is survived by his mother, wife and daughters.
