The Ukrainian meaning for international relations is to always care for each other – the President

Meeting with Justin Trudeau, evacuation in Kherson region and Mykolaiv region, thanks to rescuers and soldiers – the main thing from the evening address of the President.

In an evening address to Ukrainians on June 10, the President reported on the results of the meeting in Ukraine with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In particular, Canada promises additional support at the front and from the consequences of the terrorist attack at the Kakhovskaya HPP.

“Weapons and shells. There is a defense package, in particular the important 155 caliber. The coalition of modern fighters and the training of our pilots is an obvious progress. Movement in NATO – in this regard, there is also a result today.

I am personally grateful to the Prime Minister and to all Canadians for their unwavering and unequivocal support for our freedom.

The consequences of the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP were discussed in detail. Canada is among those who can help us recover from this disaster. We understand each other in the steps that are needed. And we need it very quickly,” the President said.

He added that Ukraine, for its part, should provide assistance to Canada in extinguishing fires in connection with large-scale forest fires on its territory, colossal natural losses and threats to people.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that at some levels in the world there is simply shameful indifference to the ecocide and human tragedy caused by the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP. He emphasized that the Ukrainian authorities are urging international organizations to provide assistance to the flooded occupied territories, and reported that as of yesterday evening, Ukraine managed to evacuate more than 3,000 people from the controlled territories.

“When international organizations that are supposed to protect life on a global scale do not even have time to form and send a rescue mission to the occupied territory in a week, when some world actors do not dare to come out even with clear and strong statements that would condemn this next Russian crime wars, terrorists simply feed on this weakness of the world, this indifference – it encourages them. And we have to overcome this. And we will overcome.

We are pressuring and encouraging international organizations and international support to be in the part of Kherson region where the occupiers are now.

As of now, more than 3,000 people have already been evacuated in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. But again, this is only a free territory under our control.

In the occupied territory, it is only possible to help people in some areas – Russian terrorists are doing everything to make the victims of the disaster as large as possible. Russian shelling continues – even at evacuation points. Russia does not provide any real help to the people in the flooded areas – not for the sake of propaganda, but for the sake of the people…

The Russian state and the Russian leadership should bear separate, fair and strict responsibility for all this.

And international organizations should work where we have not yet de-occupied our territories. Every life is important – all of Kherson Oblast, all of the south. Every city and village. We will do everything possible and impossible so that help comes to all our people,” the President noted.

He also thanked every rescuer, military and police, local communities and international organizations currently operating in Kherson Oblast and Mykolaiv Oblast, all volunteers – everyone who helps save people, animals, and life in general in the disaster zone, journalists who spread the truth and tell the world the stories of people who have suffered.

The President also expressed his gratitude to all those who help people after the strikes of Russian missiles and Iranian “Shaheeds”, and sympathized with the relatives of those killed by Russian shelling yesterday.

“Odesa… My condolences to the relatives of those whose lives were taken last night by Russian terror… More than 20 injured. Help is provided to everyone,” the head of state added.

As every day, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked our soldiers.

“To everyone who is on the front line, in positions, at combat posts and on combat missions. Who destroys the enemy on earth and protects our sky. Thank you to everyone who is taking a stand and who is moving forward. “Khortytsia”, “Tavria” – thank you to each of our heroes!

Maximum efforts to quickly restore peace to our entire state, every city, every village, every corner of Ukraine.

Glory to Ukraine!”, the President noted.
