To recap: On 06 July 2024, Hero Ruslan LENKO, born in 1985, a resident of Sokal, died in the Kupiansk sector while performing a combat mission to protect the territorial integrity of the Motherland, repel and deter armed aggression.

The family was addressed by Father Yaroslav, who expressed his sincere condolences to the family and friends and the local community.

He also said that due to the Russian war, the population in Ukraine is significantly decreasing. There is a terrible Calvary of the Ukrainian people all over Ukraine. Mothers cannot bear the death of their children and cannot accept that they are gone. The state of mothers can only be understood by the Mother of God, who stood on Calvary in front of her Son and saw the suffering of her Son. Be sure to come to the Mother of God and ask Her to protect your children from the deadly enemy.

May the Lord stop the terrible war in Ukraine as soon as possible.

Ruslan was buried in Sokal on the Alley of Heroes of Glory of the Newest Heroes of Ukraine.

May the Hero of Ukraine Ruslan rest in peace and eternal memory.
