On January 18, Lviv to Bid Farewell to Defender Kyrylo Malashevych

On Saturday, January 18, Lviv will hold a farewell ceremony for serviceman Kyrylo Malashevych, who gave his life defending Ukraine against Russian aggression. The city authorities urge residents and visitors to attend the ceremony and refrain from entertainment during this time.

The farewell will begin at 9:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Maksymovycha Street). The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. Around 11:30 AM, a citywide farewell ceremony will be held at Rynok Square.

Kyrylo Malashevych will be laid to rest at Lychakiv Cemetery.

The Lviv City Council calls on citizens to honor the memory of this hero, who sacrificed his life for Ukraine’s freedom.
