The body of the Hero Roman Shavlyuk is already on the way to his native home, we will meet in Sokal at 2:00 p.m. near the church of St. Peter and Paul. Then the cortege will go to the village of Tudorkovichi.
The funeral will take place tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in Heroya’s native village. We ask the community to postpone all matters and come to meet the Defender with flowers, lamps, and flags.
On August 24, a day of mourning was announced in Sokal due to the death of Roman Shavlyuk.

On August 19, 2023, the commander of the 1st department of the 1st platoon of the operational assignment of the 3028th military unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, junior sergeant Shavlyuk Roman Orestovych, born on 01.31.1997, a resident of the village of Tudorkovychi, was killed in the area of hostilities in the Zaporizhzhia direction as a result of enemy mortar fire.
