Mykhailo DROTSYK, a 25-year-old resident of the village of Starichi, Yavoriv region, died at the hands of the Russian invaders on October 9, in the battles near Bakhmut, courageously defending his native state from the enemy, its independence, will and freedom.

We express our condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of the fallen Hero. May the good, bright memory of Mykhailo forever remain in the hearts of all who knew, loved and respected him.

“Mykhailo was the best son and brother, a good grandson and a loving godfather. A talented and friendly guy, he liked to draw portraits and sports. This is a great loss for our family and for the whole family”, – the words of relatives about the deceased defender Mykhailo.

The farewell to the Ukrainian fighter will be announced later.

Mykhailo Bogdanovich Drotsyk was born on October 8, 1997 in the village of Starichi.

A graduate of the Old School. After graduating from school, he entered the Art Vocational and Technical School named after Y.P. Stanek (Ivano-Frankivsk town), where he acquired the profession of wood and birch wood carver.
In 2017, he entered service under a contract in the ranks of the Armed Forces. Mykhailo simultaneously studied at the Lviv University of Physical Culture.

With the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Mykhailo continued to defend the territorial integrity of our state.

He died on October 9, 2022 near the city of Bakhmut, in Donetsk region, liberating the occupied territories and protecting Ukraine from Russia.

Ukrainian defender Mykhailo is survived by his mother Galina Hryhorivna, father Bohdan Arsentiyovych, brother Pavlo, sisters Iryna, Ivanna and Maria, grandmother Maria Mykhailivna, godfather Matviy.
