On January 7, Lviv Will Bid Farewell to Defenders Ihor Makarevych and Oleksandr Shchetinin

On Tuesday, January 7, the city of Lviv will honorably bid farewell to two defenders of Ukraine, Ihor Makarevych and Oleksandr Shchetinin, who sacrificed their lives protecting the country from Russian invaders. The city authorities urge residents and visitors to join the farewell ceremony and refrain from celebrations and entertainment on this day.

The ceremony will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. At 11:30 a.m., a citywide farewell ceremony will take place in Rynok Square.

Ihor Makarevych will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery, and Oleksandr Shchetinin will find his final resting place at Holoskiv Cemetery.
