Danylo is a pupil of the Children and Youth Sports School No. 2 and the Regional School of Higher Sportsmanship.
The competition took place in Sofia (Bulgaria).
Danylo Zamorylo won the European championship in the 63.5 kg weight category by defeating Patrice Muggalzai from England.
On his way to the final, the athlete from Lviv region boxed
- in the 1/8 finals – with the host of the tournament – Bulgarian Krasimir Dzurov;
- in the 1/4 finals – with the representative of Hungary Levente Olah;
- in the 1/2 finals – with the Belarusian Vadzim Vauchok.
“Danylo Zamorylo is a pupil of the Children and Youth Sports School No. 2 and the Regional School of Higher Sportsmanship, and today he represents the training base of the Ministry of Defence, coached by Andriy Salva,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
