Davyd Bukov, Serhiy Kuzma, Andriy Hrushka – tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to three defenders

On Friday, September 8, Lviv will say goodbye to three servicemen. David Bukov, Serhiy Kuzma, Andriy Hrushka died at the hands of the Russian occupier while defending Ukraine.

The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldiers will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical references of defenders

 

David Bukov (January 5, 2002-September 2, 2023) was born in the village of Kontsovo, Transcarpathian region.
Studied at Lviv Lyceum. In his free time, he was fond of music, skillfully played the guitar and had an exceptional talent for singing.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, despite his lack of military experience, he voluntarily stood up to defend the Motherland from the Russian invaders. He carried out combat missions to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, first in the ranks of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade, and later as part of the A7788 military unit. He was awarded numerous awards for personal courage.

David Bukov was an orphan. The Hero has close friends.

 

Serhiy Kuzma (September 21, 1975-September 1, 2023) from Lviv.

He studied at the former Secondary Specialized Secondary School No. 8 of the city of Lviv (today – Lyceum No. 8 of the Lviv City Council). He received his education at the Faculty of Specialist Training for Investigation Units of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.

Police lieutenant, served in the law enforcement agencies of the city of Lviv. In his free time, he was fond of movies, loved traveling by car.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the Russian invaders. At first, he performed tasks as part of the battalion of the special purpose police patrol service “Lviv”. Subsequently, he defended the state in the ranks of the 105th border detachment named after Prince Volodymyr the Great of the State Border Service of Ukraine. He died saving his brothers from the enemy.

Serhiy Kuzma is survived by his parents, daughter and common-law wife.

 

Andriy Hrushka (22.08.1968-01.09.2023) native of Lviv.

He studied at Secondary Secondary School of Grades I-III No. 36 of the city of Lviv. Received vocational and technical education at a local school, majoring in “painter, plasterer”. After completing his studies, he completed military service in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (Russian Federation).

In peacetime, he worked by profession in a construction company. Organized high-quality construction processes, received hundreds of good reviews for his professionalism. He was a “master of all trades”. He loved movement and was in excellent physical shape, spending a lot of time with his beloved dog.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the Motherland. At first, he served in the military as part of the 10th separate rifle battalion, later he defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in the ranks of the 116th separate mechanized brigade of the 10th army corps of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Andrii Hrushka is survived by his wife, two daughters, a son-in-law and a sister.
