Students of the Lviv College helped: volunteers of the NGO “Hell Bats” developed a unique buggy for the military

The maximum speed of the car on off-road is 90 kilometers per hour

Lviv developers-volunteers have created a buggy that is able to travel off-road and overcome various obstacles.

As the developers said, the buggy is unique, because it was created from “scratch”, without a previous project and drawings, which ensures not only the simplicity of the design, but also unpretentiousness in repairs. The car belongs to the class of light tactical cars and has high clearance and maneuverability with a very small turning radius.

Project co-developer Taras Yanush said that development and production took almost 9 months.

“We designed and created the transport independently and developed it because there is a demand. He helps our boys and girls on the front lines. Such cars are easy to use, they have great cross-country ability, many machine gun emplacements can be placed on them, they are quiet and can be used to evacuate the wounded. This is the first buggy created according to the requests of soldiers. He will go to the front in the coming days, and we would like to continue producing such vehicles,” said Taras Janush.

The second developer, Yuriy Burak, said that the maximum speed of the car off-road is 90 kilometers per hour, and on the highway – 110.

“Its carrying capacity is more than a ton. Can accommodate 3 crew members and 1 wounded person. This is a four-wheel drive buggy with a locked center differential – moments are distributed to all four wheels. There is a reduced gear in combination with a four-speed gearbox. According to its characteristics, this car will go wherever it needs to go. This buggy is equipped with two 7.62-millimeter PCM machine gun points with the possibility of installing a 50-caliber Browning, which is a serious weapon,” said Yuriy Burak.

He added that each buggy is made under the strict coordination of the military and according to their needs. In this way, the machine can immediately go on combat duty and exits after running in.

“We have experience working with several machines of this type that perform combat tasks,” Yurii Burak summarized.

Funds for the creation of the buggy were attracted by Marianna from the “Hell Bats” public organization.
