The new week in the Drohobytsk community began with sad events. Today, October 23, the deceased Hero – a resident of the village of Naguyevichi Stepan Balush, who gave his life defending Ukraine from the enemy, was brought to his native home.
During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukrainian lands, Stepan was abroad. However, he returned home and voluntarily joined the Military Commissariat to join the defense of Ukraine.
As part of the 67th separate battalion of territorial defense, he was at the front line positions. Unfortunately, on October 16, while performing combat missions for the defense of Ukraine, Stepan died as a result of receiving a severe brain injury.
The Hero is survived by his parents, brother, wife and son.
Today, the funeral convoy with the fallen defender of Ukraine arrived in his native community. The meeting of the fallen soldier took place at the Crossroads of Heroes. Here, accompanied by clergymen, a joint prayer was held, with the participation of relatives, relatives, brothers and the leadership of the Drohobych community.
From Heroes’ Crossroads, the hearse with the soldier’s body was taken to his native village of Naguyevichi, where the dead man’s funeral will be held in his native home.
The Hero’s funeral will take place tomorrow, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Nikolay in the village of Naguyevichi. The deceased will be buried at the cemetery in the village of Naguyevichi.
