Over the past night, our air defense forces shot down 16 enemy “shaheds”.
Text of the President’s address:
Thanks to all pilots and engineers of the Air Force of Ukraine, all our anti-aircraft guns and soldiers of mobile fire groups. Every time they have a result, it is a result for the whole state. This is salvation for our people, for our cities, for Ukrainian infrastructure.
The geography of our cooperation for the air shield for Ukraine is very wide. Not everything can be told publicly now. But what is absolutely certain is that Ukraine is constantly getting stronger. The capabilities of our air defense are increasing.
Of course, this is still not one hundred percent protection. There is a lot of work ahead. Cities like Kharkiv, regions like Donetsk and Zaporizhia need more systems, more security. All our diplomats and our entire state have this task.
He held several meetings with the media. Online met with journalists, editors, producers – in general, channel employees who ensure the work of the “Edyny Novyni” information marathon. This is a very important element of our indomitability and our unity.
I thanked him for this work, for the energy and efforts directed in the interests of the entire society – informing people and protecting them from Russian disinformation. And he also met – already offline, in person – with journalists who work for leading foreign media, news agencies, English-language Ukrainian publications and radio. It was a long and very productive, interesting conversation.
David Cameron, the new foreign minister of Great Britain, visited Ukraine. This is his first working visit in this position. Visit to Ukraine. I am grateful for the attention to our country, to our people and for this signal to the world. A signal that by helping Ukraine, you are helping global stability.
We also talked about the front, about weapons for our soldiers, about some very important and sensitive issues of international relations. Good meeting.
An important international event of the parliamentary level took place these days – the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization. Summit in Ukraine. I am grateful to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, for organizing the summit. Addressed its participants. And I believe that we should all pay more attention to what Ukraine succeeded in the Black Sea.
Our state fundamentally changed the situation in the Black Sea – Russia lost control. And in general, it lost hope of keeping the Black Sea for itself precisely as a bridgehead for aggression against other nations. We will do everything to strengthen this result
