Andriy Koval, always a source of positivity capable of cheering everyone up, is now a great loss for his family and friends. The life of the brave defender was cut short when his dreams and plans were far from being realized.
Andriy was born in the picturesque village of Hirske in the Stryi district, and later his family moved to Lviv. He became a fighter of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, from where his combat path on the Southern and Eastern fronts began.
Andriy’s life ended this year on March 12 near Mariinka in Donetsk region. He died on the battlefields, rich with courage and patriotism, at the age of only 25. His final resting place is at the Mars Field of Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv, where the hero is buried with all the honors the community can offer.
The Lviv Regional Military Administration and the ‘Memorial of Heroes’ Platform support the everlasting memory of the defenders who have sacrificed their lives for our peace, and their names, including Andriy’s, are protected from oblivion.
