In the evening address to the Ukrainians on June 9, the President announced that the Stavka was held, during which the main attention was paid to the situation on the front line. The President clarified that attention is focused on all directions where our actions are needed and where the enemy may suffer one or another defeat, and added that they also discussed in detail the supply and distribution of ammunition, strengthening of our artillery and anti-aircraft defense.
Also yesterday, Volodymyr Zelenskyi informed about the results of conversations with the prime ministers of Japan and the Netherlands – the head of state assured that the countries are ready to help Ukraine, and there are also decisions regarding humanitarian support packages. In addition, the President reported on the important decision of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands regarding the Ukrainian collection of “Scythian gold”.
“With Mr. Prime Minister of Japan, we discussed the preparation of the Global Peace Summit and the conference in Japan on the reconstruction and transformation of our country after hostilities.
We talked with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands about our further defense cooperation, coordinated our positions before the next “Ramstein”. We are moving step by step in strengthening our air shield. They discussed the “Patriots” coalition, the training of our pilots.
There is today a very important decision of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands regarding the collection of “Scythian gold”. Ukrainian collection. The collection, which was kept in our Crimea, but which cannot yet be returned to Crimea for an obvious reason: it cannot be given to an occupier, a robber.
Of course, it will be in Crimea, when the Ukrainian flag will also be in Crimea.
Actually, this logic was confirmed by the highest court of the Netherlands. And this is another proof that the Dutch people, the Dutch society and the state really know how to be leaders in protecting the rule of law and the values of civilization.
For this, I thank everyone who fought for this decision, our team at the Ministry of Justice who worked for this result. We will protect justice step by step,” said the President.
He also announced a new defense support package from the United States worth more than $2 billion, which includes
missiles for Patriots and other air defense systems, strengthening our defenses on the ground, strengthening the strength of all our soldiers.
Regarding the rescue operation in Kherson Oblast and Mykolaiv Oblast and the state of the Kakhovsky Reservoir, the President said that there are a huge number of problems that are being overcome at all possible levels, but the main thing is that there is now a public potential to do it.
“Take care of each other, work in unity, protect people and life. These are our principles, the principles of struggling Ukraine. They are now acting 100 percent of our principles. And I am sure: no matter how difficult it may be, we will overcome the consequences of this disaster and all Russian evil.
I thank everyone in the world who is already helping and who is asking Ukraine how to help. Thank you to everyone who is already participating in the rescue operation, who is helping people as best they can. To people, animals, all living things. Thanks also to all those who encourage international organizations, foreign leaders, other states to see what happened and call things by their names. Russian terrorists must be held accountable for everything they have done.
And separately – for our soldiers, for all those who are in particularly difficult battles these days.
