On the shield, our Defender Mykhailo ZALUSKY is returning to his native land. The hero died on March 5, 2024 near Pavlivka, Donetsk region.
The sad news was reported in Novoyavorivska City Council.

Mykhailo Yuriyovych Zaluskyi was born on November 21, 1978 in the village of Starichi, where he lived and studied at a local school.
After school, he entered the secondary artistic vocational school in the village of Ivano-Frankovo, acquired the profession of a carpenter. Worked at Fakro-Orbita LLC.
According to his family, Mykhailo was very kind, quiet and hardworking.
On December 11, 2022, he took the oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend Ukraine.
Mykhailo is survived by his father Yuriy, mother Kateryna, sister Natalia and their family.

The Hero’s prayer meeting will take place on March 26, at 10:45 a.m. on the street. Shevchenka, 2 in the city of Novoyavorivsk (opposite the premises of the city council), at 11:00 a.m. in Starychy near the grave of the Sich Riflemen.
Farewell and funeral rites will be held in the village of Starichi in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos at 12:00 p.m. The Hero will be buried at the local cemetery in the village of Starichi.
