In an address to the Ukrainian people yesterday, October 21, the President talked about the world’s support for Ukraine and international events to discuss aid to Ukraine, which are planned, and also thanked the Ukrainian defenders who are currently in battle.

Our active international work never stops. Today I spoke with the President of Turkey Erdogan, and this is the ninth international conversation this week. I have already spoken with the President of Finland, with the Prime Minister of Canada, with the President of South Africa, with the Prime Minister of Norway, also with the President of France, with the Secretary General of the United Nations, with the President of the United States, with the Chancellor of Germany. The main thing in all these negotiations is to protect lives and people, peaceful people, to prevent destabilization from spreading to other regions of the world, and to prevent our work on consolidating the world majority for the sake of international law from being wasted. I am grateful to all the leaders for their support and understanding that now is the time to work together as energetically as possible.
The situation in our Black Sea region, aggression against Ukraine, aggression against global security, and the situation in the Middle East were also discussed with President Erdogan. And it is very important to protect civilians, it is very important to prevent the development of new large-scale humanitarian crises, it is important to act together to restore the full force of international law as soon as possible.
We are actively preparing a new meeting regarding the Peace Formula – the meeting is scheduled for next week, it will take place in Malta. Important states of the world will be represented – the list of participants actually increases every day. More than 50 participants are expected. Today, President Erdogan confirmed that Turkey will participate in the meeting. We are also preparing for the new summit of our Crimean Platform – the parliamentary level of the Crimean Platform. The number of participants is very serious. The summit will be held in the Czech Republic. I am grateful to everyone in the world who has joined and is ready to work with us at the level of parliamentary diplomacy for security, for peace in all of Europe, without any exceptions for any part of our continent.
A very important step by President Biden this week – I am truly grateful for it. A new package of long-term and reliable support for Ukraine – defense, economic – for our protection of people and freedom has been prepared. I am grateful for this initiative of President Biden and I think that not only Ukrainians, but also all peoples – all free peoples of Europe – expect the preservation of American unity with our protection. The world needs American leadership, and I am grateful to both parties of Congress who understand this, who support, in particular, the struggle of our people for their independence.
And of course, our soldiers. Thank you to everyone who is currently in battle, in combat positions, at posts! Avdiivskyi direction, Maryinka. Bakhmut direction. Kupyanskyi, Lymanskyi directions. Our Zaporozhye. Our Kherson region. On the front lines and in the depths of the occupied territory, our soldiers made this week very powerful for Ukraine. And now I want to thank all our defense and security forces – absolutely everyone! To every unit, every soldier, every commander who during this week gave our state the necessary combat results. Glory to you, warriors! Glory to all our people!
