On 17 August, Sokal met the body of its defender, the Hero Artem Hegeshko. With tears in their eyes, feelings of regret and despair, the residents of the community came out to the main road to meet the body of the fallen Hero in Sokal with dignity.

On 17 August, residents of Chervonohrad received another sad news from the frontline – Hero Serhiy Voroshyk, born in 1992, died. The soldier, a gunner-operator of the mechanised unit of the military unit A4638, Serhiy Voroshyk was killed on 15 August while performing a combat mission near the village of Novovodyane, Luhansk region.
Also today, the community of Siletsk said goodbye to the Hero Volodymyr Fiyalo. The soldier was buried at the Siletsk cemetery
