An open architectural competition has been announced to determine the best project for the installation of a memorial plaque in memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The location of the memorial is between Sheptytskoho Street and the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Sokal.
This was reported by the Sokal City Council.
The customer of the competition is the Sokal City Council of the Lviv region, and the organiser is the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Sokal City Council.
You can submit a written application for participation and receive the initial design data from 15 October to 15 November 2024.
Conceptual designs are accepted until 14 January 2025 at the following address: 61 Sheptytskoho St., Sokal, 80001, 2nd floor, phone (067) 17-21-843, E-mail: arch.sokal@gmail.com.
The jury will review the submitted projects from 22 to 26 January 2025, after which it will announce the results of the competition. The official announcement of the winners is scheduled for 26 January 2025, and the results will be published in the media and on the city council website within 10 days.
Citizens of Ukraine, legal entities and individuals, as well as creative teams in the field of architecture, urban planning, monumental and fine arts, who have the appropriate education as of the date of the competition announcement, are invited to apply.
The competition is one-stage and free of charge, and the winner will receive the priority right to implement their project.
All inscriptions and documentation must comply with the legislation of Ukraine on the use of the state language.
