Oleh Pysarchyk – a Leader on the Frontline Defending Ukraine
Our compatriot, 30-year-old Oleh Pysarchyk, the chief sergeant of the mechanized platoon in the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, has journeyed from a peaceful life in Lviv to becoming a true leader on the front. His callsign is not coincidental: even during training, he proved capable of quickly finding solutions and assisting comrades in the most difficult situations.
Training and Combat Experience
His training is not only limited to Ukrainian military grounds but also includes studies in Poland, Germany, and France. It is precisely there that he acquired the skills that are now helping him demolish the invaders in the Donetsk region.
Since December 2024, he has been fighting on the Pokrovsk front. He is not just a soldier – he is a commander leading others. In one battle, when his group was surrounded, he organized a breakthrough to lead his comrades to safety. Under his command, more than 10 invaders have been eliminated.
The warrior is resolute: “We will stand firm and defend! We have no other choice.”
Life Before the War and Dreams for the Future
Before the full-scale war, Oleh was a wood carver and even made shoes. After victory, he dreams of returning to his beloved craft and starting a family. In the meantime, he stands with his comrades, defending each of us.
Men like Oleh are writing our history. They will be remembered by generations. Every day, we thank our defenders for their protection and superhuman efforts on the battlefieldὊA.
