The Novoyavoriv community is in mourning. Oleg Harmadiy, Defender of Ukraine, a native of Novoyavorivsk, has passed away.
Unfortunately, on September 3, 2023, oncology took the life of our Hero, who remained faithful to the military oath and the State until the end. We sincerely sympathize and bow our heads to the relatives of the Defender 🇺🇦
The Hero was buried at the local cemetery.
Oleg Mykhailovych Garmadiy was born on October 27, 1967. He graduated from Novoyavorivsk secondary school No. 1, after which he studied at Novorozdilskyi and Novoyavorivsk schools, acquiring the profession of an excavator driver. Next, Oleg Mykhailovych chooses military service for himself and completes it in the Airborne Assault Troops.
After completing his service, he worked abroad for a long time in construction. But after learning about the invasion of the occupier on his native land, Oleg does not hesitate to make the decision to return and stand up for the defense of the Motherland.
At first, our Hero worked as an instructor at the Yavoriv training ground, and later performed combat missions in Donetsk region.
Oleg Mykhailovych followed the development of political events, was interested in geography and history, loved to read books and relentlessly engaged in self-education.
Relatives describe him as a very intelligent, interesting and positive person who had many loving friends.
Hero is survived by his family: wife Viktoriya Mykolaivna, son Vitaly, brother Igor and sister Oksana and their families.
