Serhiy Kushnir, a native of Sheptytskyi, Lviv region and a resident of Novovolynsk, Volyn region, gave his life in the fight for peace in Ukraine. He served in the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade, one of the most heroic units of our army.
Serhiy died on January 10, 2023, during the defense near the city of Kreminna, in Luhansk region. He was only 42 years old. Having lost his dream of family happiness, as his niece noted, he became a symbol of indomitability and courage for all of us.
The hero’s burial took place in his city of residence, Novovolynsk. The Lviv Regional Military Administration together with the Memorial to Heroes platform honor the memory of fallen defenders from Lviv region, demonstrating national unity and gratitude for their unmatched contribution to the protection of our country.
