A young resident of Drohobych, Yurii Shpuk, was killed while defending Ukraine from the enemy. The warrior died on September 3, 2023, but only now will the body of the young Hero be brought home to find eternal rest on the Walk of Fame. He will be 24 years old forever…
Yuriy Shpuk was born on September 14, 1998. He lived in Drohobych on Hrushevskoho Street. He graduated from the school №14 and the 15th school. He worked at Tandem. According to his mother, Yuriy was well known in Drohobych by the nickname “Bookmark” because he often held positive pranks and quests among young people.
As soon as the full-scale invasion began, Yuriy was immediately eager to defend Ukraine. He voluntarily went to the military registration and enlistment office to ask to go to the front, but was denied due to health problems.
The guy did not give up his attempts, and in late 2022 and early 2023 he joined the Armed Forces in another city. He was a senior sniper of the A-2582 military unit.
The warrior died while performing combat missions to defend Ukraine on September 3, 2023 in the Pologiv district of Zaporizhzhia region.
For a long time, Yuriy was considered missing. Only now the death of the soldier has been officially confirmed and the body of the Hero will be able to find eternal rest.
The deceased is survived by his parents, sister and aunt.
