During 2022, the mining fitter of the Stepova mine Oleksandr Petruk defended Ukraine on the front line, received a concussion, and was demobilized at the end of last year. The other day, the heart of the 37-year-old defender stopped prematurely.
There are not enough words to express our condolences to Hero’s relatives and friends. We bow our heads in sorrow and share the pain of irreparable loss.
Today at 19:00 in the Church of St. Josaphat, the Funeral Service for the Hero was held. The funeral service will begin tomorrow, November 25, at 11:00 a.m. The Defender will be buried on the Alley of Heroes at the Bendyuzhsky Cemetery.
About Oleksandr Petruk
Oleksandr Vitaliyovych Petruk was born on July 27, 1986. In 2011-2022, he worked as an underground miner, mine fitter at the Velikomostivska mine of Lvivvugilya State Enterprise. Since February 2022, he worked at the assembly-dismantling section of the Stepova mine of the Lvivvugille State Enterprise as a mine fitter. In March-October 2022, he was mobilized and performed combat missions in the ranks of the Armed Forces. Lived in Chervonohrad, Lviv region. His wife, three children, relatives and friends are in mourning.
