Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Stavka. The main issues are the protection of our ports, the continuation of food exports by sea.
At Stavka there were reports from the military, intelligence, the Security Service, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They discussed the situation on the front line, all hot areas – from Kupyansk to Kherson region, Donetsk region, southern regions of Zaporizhzhia region. They considered the issue of ammunition supply and protection against Russian missile and drone strikes.
Last year, thanks to the Black Sea Grain Initiative, it was possible to prevent a price crisis on the global food market. A price explosion would inevitably lead to political and migration crises, particularly in African and Asian countries.
“Obviously, the Russian leadership is now trying to provoke these crises. Without our exports, the deficit on the global market will, unfortunately, be very noticeable. And not only for the poorest countries. Different countries will feel: from Libya and Egypt to Bangladesh and China. We are working with our partners to prevent this,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
The day before, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the African mass media: from the Republic of South Africa, from Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire. They were in Kyiv, visited the Kherson region, Bucha, talked with the relatives of the victims of this war.
“Every time journalists from other countries come to Ukraine and see with their own eyes the consequences of Russian aggression, they return home with the truth about this war. And we speak to them during the interview not in English or French – no, we speak in the language of truth, and this helps us a lot to keep and increase the world’s attention to Ukraine, to our struggle for freedom,” the Head of State said.
The President noted that every fact of the use of components from the countries of the free world for the production of weapons by Russian terrorists, in particular, missiles and “Shaheeds”, will be our argument that the existing sanctions and pressure against Russia are not enough. The world must limit trade relations with the terrorist state so much that no component of the free world can be used for terror.
“We continue to work on the preparation of the Doctrine of Ukraine, on our post-war transformation and today’s decisions to help our people. The Minister of Health and the Minister of Social Policy presented me with the concept of creating a network of rehabilitation centers in Ukraine. Different level and functionality, but absolutely necessary rehabilitation services. Implementation has already begun. The ministers will present all the details,” the President added.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the head of the Japan International Cooperation Agency. It is one of the world’s largest institutions supporting economic and social development. The Japanese agency is currently implementing an emergency recovery program in Ukraine, and the amount of the program is half a billion dollars. During the meeting, they talked about: demining, energy, infrastructure projects, education. It is very important to build rehabilitation centers to overcome the consequences of the war.
The President signed 7 decrees on awarding our soldiers. Since February 24, almost 51,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been awarded state awards.
