The sad news was again reported in the Sokal City Council.
On 17 October, 2024, on the territory of the military unit A4728, the Hero Kritsak Yuriy Dmytrovych, born in 1978, a resident of the village of Varyazh, died, having taken the military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
On 01 March 2023, he voluntarily enlisted for contract service, courageously defended Ukraine from the aggressor, and served in an engineering company.

Today, the people of Sokal met the body of the Hero Yuriy Krytsak in Sokal near the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul. The funeral cortege will then head to the defender’s native village of Varyazh.
The funeral service will begin on Sunday at 12:00 in the village of Varyazh.
