To raise funds, carolers organized nativity scenes and festive charity events.
During this year’s Christmas holidays, carolers of the Novoyavoriv community collected over 700,000 hryvnias for defenders of Ukraine: 463,473 hryvnias, 6,850 dollars, 600 euros and 150 zlotys. Part of the funds have already been directed to the regional 103rd Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported in the Novoyavoriv city council.
The funds were collected thanks to the carolers of the nativity scene of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul UGCC of Novoyavorivsk, whose participants are internally displaced persons, the nativity scene of the Church of St. Yuriy UGCC of the village Glass, nativity scene of the church of St. Mykolaya UGCC of the village Glass, vocal group “Peredzvin” of the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God, OCU, Novoyavorivsk.
Also, funds for the support of defenders were collected during charitable festive events: a concert by the exemplary drama group “Vishenka” of the PC “Krystal”, at the celebration of the anniversary of the People’s Ensemble of folk music “Yantarni zhorja” and the People’s Women’s Vocal Ensemble “Gorlytsia”, the festival of Christmas carols meetings”, the participants of which were 26 church choirs of the Novoyavoriv community, the charity event “And after that carol, be in peace and good”, etc.
At events, guests were treated to goodies, delicious dishes and military field cuisine.
“Thank you to everyone who helps the Ukrainian army and brings our Victory closer. Together we can do good!” – said the Novoyavoriv City Council.
