Six Defenders From Sheptytskyi District Awarded Posthumously
The President of Ukraine honored six defenders from the Sheptytskyi district with high state awards. Unfortunately, posthumously.
Awarded Soldiers
According to Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of Lviv Regional State Administration, two soldiers were awarded the medal ‘For Military Service to Ukraine’.
- Vasyl Sanotskyi – Originally from the village of Stremyn, Velykomostivska community. Died in April 2022 in the Donetsk region.
- Dmytro Sapunov – Native of Mariinka. Lived in Lviv region. Died in December 2022 near Avdiivka.
According to the region’s head, four soldiers were awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
- Vasyl Skrupskyi – Born in the village of Kupychvolya, Velykomostivska community. Died in July 2023 near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
- Petro Kozymka – Resident of the village of Stremyn. Died in May 2024 near the village of Torske, Donetsk region.
- Volodymyr Pentsak – Lived in the village of Kupychvolya. Died in November 2022 near the village of Opytne, Donetsk region.
- Igor Hupalo – Resident of the village of Volytsia, Velykomostivska community. Died in March 2022.
