Information about this is available on the official website of the President of Ukraine
The insignia was awarded to honour the courage and heroism displayed by the servicemen of the 2nd Galician Brigade in the course of defence of state sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The ribbon “For Courage and Bravery” is a collective award for military units, which is conferred by the President upon the proposal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
2 Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the Galician Brigade has been actively involved in the defence of Ukraine’s national interests. Since 2015, our Guardsmen have been resisting the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine with arms in hand. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the brigade’s units fought the enemy in various areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Today, the brigade’s servicemen are shedding their blood and setting an example of true heroism.
Proudly accepting this award, we pay tribute to all our fallen comrades. We swear to defeat the enemy with all our strength and available means. We serve the Ukrainian people! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!” reads the official Facebook page of the 2nd Galician Brigade.
