Yuri Yeshchenko received his wound near Bakhmut.

Yuriy was born in the city of Marganets in the Dnipro region. Then he moved to Kharkiv. He worked as a foreman in the production of confectionery products.

At the beginning of the war, he sent his family abroad, and he himself went to the Military Commissariat.

“At first they didn’t take me, but after a few months, in July 2022, they called me from the Military Commissariat and said that I had to come. The war shifted the focus away from finances and other material things. I dream that we will win peace and return to normal life,” the man says.

Yuriy Yeschenko served on the front line. He received his wound near Bakhmut. Together with his comrades, he came under enemy fire. Mine fragments damaged both legs, doctors had to amputate the right.

During the treatment, Yuri learned about the Superhumans Center and left an application. I did not expect such a quick response, but a few weeks ago he tried on his prosthesis and is preparing for active rehabilitation.

“I don’t even know how I would be now if it weren’t for my family. Therefore, in the near future, I plan to visit them and spend some time with my wife and children, because I feel that their childhood is passing me by,” the defender shares.
