State awards were presented to the families of defenders from Lviv Oblast who gave their lives for Ukraine

Three residents of Lviv Oblast were posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree.

On May 17, the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, and the head of the Western Operational Territorial Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleksandr Buravkov, presented orders to relatives of servicemen who died while defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“Everyone who gave his life in the fight for Ukraine – forever entered its history as a courageous defender of his land. We will always remember our Heroes – fathers, sons and daughters who courageously liberated their Motherland from the invaders. Our enemy is unable to realize the value of freedom, the value of expression of will, the value of truth. And the truth is with us – with all those who are today at the front step by step bringing us closer to Victory! Those who care about the fate of the country, relatives, and children serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces. There are not enough words to express all that gratitude and respect to parents for the decent upbringing of our soldiers. It is to them that we owe everything we have today,” said the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

By decree of the President of Ukraine, for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, awarded with the Order “For Courage” III degree (posthumously):

Yuriy Gulyk – Major, First Deputy Commander – Chief of Staff of the 3rd Rifle Battalion. Yuriy is from Zolochiv. The man is survived by his wife and three children. The youngest daughter received the award;
Bohdana Murina is a conscript soldier, an assistant grenade launcher of an operational battalion. Originally from the village of Pidgaychyki, Lviv district. Bohdan was single. The mother received the award.
Roman Myskiv is a conscript soldier, marksman (assistant machine gunner) of the third operational battalion. He was born in the village of Pomoryan, Zolochiv District. Unmarried. The mother received the award.
