The Russians bombed Lviv – among the seven dead, two children

As of 13.19, emergency and rescue operations to eliminate the consequences of the morning shelling have been completed in Lviv. A day of mourning has been declared in Lviv tomorrow.

Emergency workers rescued 12 people.

Fifty-three people were injured. Unfortunately, seven people died, including, according to updated data, two children (7 and 14 years old).

Psychologists from the Lviv Oblast State Emergency Service and the Lviv State University of Life Safety provided assistance to 103 victims, including 16 children.

More than 150 rescuers and 38 units of specialised equipment were involved in the response.

On the Russian bombing of Lviv on the morning of 4 September

As a result of the night attack on Lviv, our regional Centre for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation was damaged on Konovalets Street.

Its historic building was damaged. More than 70 windows were smashed. The shock wave blew away the frames. The ceiling fell in six offices. Batteries were torn off. Computers and medical equipment were destroyed.
It is a great blessing that the security guard and staff of the Centre are alive and uninjured.

According to Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, at least seven local architectural monuments were damaged in the night attack.

In particular, on Konovaltsia and Kokorudza streets. All the buildings are located in the historic area and the UNESCO buffer zone. They are listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine.

A commission of representatives of the city and regional cultural heritage protection authorities will start working at the sites and drawing up inspection reports as soon as the emergency services have access to them.
