The Sheptytska City Council has reported the tragic loss of Andriy Mykhailovych Laptuta, whose heart stopped on January 21, 2025, at the age of 31. Born in 1993, Andriy served as a rifleman and assistant grenadier in the 33rd Separate Rifle Battalion.
In February 2023, he was discharged from military service due to family circumstances. Despite facing life-threatening challenges, Andriy survived in situations where survival seemed impossible. Tragically, his journey ended too soon.
Andriy is mourned by his parents, wife, four children, relatives, and friends. The Sheptytska community extends heartfelt condolences to the Hero’s family, sharing their grief and offering unwavering support.
The memory of Andriy Laptuta will forever live in our hearts as a reminder of the immense price Ukraine pays for its independence and freedom. Eternal glory and bright memory to the Hero.
