In a brave confrontation with the enemy, our defender, Volodymyr OLSHANETSKY, born in 1972, from Gorodkiv, died.
The community gave a dignified welcome to the fallen defender from Horodok, Volodymyr Olshanetskyi. The pain of loss breaks, with deep sadness we sympathize with all the relatives and friends of the soldier!
On their knees, they prayed for the repose of the soul of the Hero who gave his life for the independence of our Ukraine. The prayers were jointly conducted by the priests of the churches of Horodochchyna.
Today at 7 p.m. a funeral service will be held, tomorrow – the funeral ceremony.
“This war is not only the war of Volodymyr and his brothers. It is the struggle of each of us present here,” said during the meeting of Hero Olshanetsky, Fr. Mykhailo Gredil. All Ukrainians must unite and act. Only a state in which such courageous, self-sacrificing and unconquered warriors live will be able to stand and have a future.
For the tenth year in a row, at the place of grief, glory and honor, we meet and see off our Heroes on their last earthly journey. Today, they prayed for the peace of the soul of Volodymyr Olshanetskyi, a deceased citizen of Gorodkiv. Eternal memory, glory, and honor to him!
Volodymyr breathed his last in the fight for Ukraine in Luhansk Region, during a combat mission, on September 6, 2023. The Hero is survived by his wife, son and daughter, mother, brother and sister.
