Today, December 29, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Hryhoriy Dobosh, who died in the battle with the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The Hero’s funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a.m. – a city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.
The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero
Hryhoriy Dobosh (“Hryts”) (September 29, 1991-March 19, 2022). A native of Lviv. Grigory’s great-grandfather and other members of the Dobosh family served prison terms in Siberia for their pro-Ukrainian position and assistance to the OUN-UPA.
Studied at the Lviv Secondary School No. 82 of the Lviv City Council and Secondary Secondary School No. 73. Later, he entered the Faculty of Economics of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
After completing his studies, he completed military service.
He worked in private companies in Lviv and abroad.
From his school years, he joined the Lviv city organization of the Union of Ukrainian Youth in Ukraine as a participant in summer camps.
In 2021, Hryhoriy Dobosh got married.
With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend the Motherland. Defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine as part of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the southern direction.
Hryhoriy Dobosh died in March in a battle near the settlement of Snigurivka, but the body was returned only after the liberation of the city from the Russian invaders.
The Hero is survived by his wife, parents and sister.
