On December 22, Lviv will say goodbye to two more Heroes. Rostyslav Sirenko and Viktor Vasylyna died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The funeral service began at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. Heroes will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Rostyslav Sirenko (01.08.1982-14.12.2022) from Lviv.
He studied at the “Oriyana” Lyceum School of the city of Lviv (at that time – general secondary school No. 25). He graduated from the State Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational Polytechnic School” with the specialty “electric welder”.
In 2015-2016, he performed combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation.
After returning to civilian life, he worked as a manager in the private enterprise “Company Vladyslav”.
In 2021, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he fought with the invaders in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Rostislav Sirenko is survived by his mother, brother, sisters and two nephews.
Viktor Vasylyna (May 11, 1985-December 12, 2022) from Lviv.
He studied at Lyceum No. 15 of the Lviv City Council, at the same time he attended a music school and practiced archery. In 2009, he graduated from the Lviv branch of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts with a degree in “international tourism manager”, later from the Lviv National University of Nature Management.
After completing his studies, he worked in numerous local enterprises, in particular, LLC “Fakro Lviv”, PJSC “Lvivoblenergo”, LKP “Lvivavtodor”, LMKP “Lvivvodokanal”.
With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend the Motherland from the invaders. Defended the state in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Victor Vasylyna is survived by his mother, his beloved, two children, two sisters and two brothers.
