Today, Lviv will say goodbye to five Heroes who defended Ukraine

The funeral ceremony will take place in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, military servicemen will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery, only Nazariya Chiginya – in his native Zapytov.

At 11:00 a.m., the funeral ceremony of Valery Khoroshev, Yuriy Lenka, Nazarii Chygin and Maksym Moklovich will begin, and at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square.

At 3:00 p.m., the funeral ceremony of Vyacheslav Volgin will take place, at 3:30 p.m. – a city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.

 

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Yuri Lenko (June 14, 1984-October 9, 2022) from Lviv.

 

He studied at secondary comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 49 of the city of Lviv, later transferred to the then secondary comprehensive school No. 16 of the city of Lviv.

After completing his studies, he served in the army as a border guard. In peacetime, he engaged in entrepreneurial activities in the construction field, actively cooperated with the Spanish distribution group “Inditex”. He was a member of the charitable organization “Charitable Foundation “Foundation named after Princes of Ostrozki”.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he was involved in volunteer activities and collecting humanitarian aid for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In April, he became a volunteer for the defense of Ukraine, fought against the Russian invaders as part of the A4574 military unit.

Yuri Lenka is survived by his parents, wife and two sons.

 

 

 

Vyacheslav Volgin (May 4, 1999-September 19, 2022) from Lviv.

 

He studied at the “Divosvit” elementary school of the Lviv City Council and at secondary comprehensive school No. 90 of the city of Lviv. During his studies, he was a children’s animator, served at the Church of the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit UGCC.

In 2016, he entered the preparatory course at the Lviv Theological Seminary of the Holy Spirit UGCC. Subsequently, he studied at the Lviv Polytechnic National University for two years. He worked in the limited liability company “Nova Poshta”.

He was inspired by military affairs, tried his hand at entering the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Pyotr Sagaidachny. In 2019, he joined the ranks of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In 2020-2021, he performed combat missions to deter Russian aggression in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. From the first day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he fought with the invaders in the “hot spots”.

Vyacheslav Volgin is survived by his mother, sister and wife.

 

Nazarii Chygin (24.03.1995-06.10.2022) A native of the urban-type village of Zapytiv, Lviv region.

 

He studied at the institution of general secondary education of the I-III degrees of the city-type village of Zapytiv and the educational complex “School of Computer Technologies-Lviv Technological Lyceum”. Graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

After that, he did military service for a year. He worked as a courier, tutored in mathematics, and studied programming languages ​​in his spare time. He was fond of running, took an active part in marathons.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he defended the state in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Nazarii Chiginya is survived by his parents, sister and brother.

 

 

 

Maksym Moklovich (15.09.1982-18.09.2022) from Lviv.

 

He studied at secondary school No. 4 and secondary comprehensive school No. 16 in the city of Lviv. Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Lviv University of Trade and Economics.

Since 2006, he has worked as a lawyer in a network of enterprises of foreign economic activity. Subsequently, he held the position of manager in the limited liability company “Trados Trading House”.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he came to the defense of Ukraine. He was trained as a reserve officer at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. Fought the invaders as part of military unit A4279.

Performed combat missions in the territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions in the positions of platoon commander and motorized infantry company commander.

Maksym Moklovich is survived by his father.

 

 

 

Valery Khoroshev (01.01.1974-06.10.2022) Born in the city of Salsk, Rostov region.

 

At the age of 5, he and his family moved to Lviv.
Studied at Lyceum No. 45 of the Lviv City Council. After completing his studies, he completed military service in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. In 2000, together with his parents, he moved to Kramatorsk. For two years, he worked as a miner, later as a mining worker at a local private enterprise.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he returned to Lviv. In July, he became a volunteer for the defense of Ukraine, fought against the occupiers as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Valery Khoroshev is survived by his mother, sister, nieces and brother-in-law.
