Today, Lviv said goodbye to three Heroes who defended Ukraine

Today, March 14, Lviv said goodbye to three more Heroes. Volodymyr Rak, Mykola Horoshko, Roman Kondrak died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders.

Volodymyr Rak and Mykola Horoshko were buried at the Lychakivskyi cemetery in Lviv, and Roman Kondrak – in his native village of Ryasne-Ruskyi.

 

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Volodymyr Rak (April 25, 1993-January 31, 2023). A native of the village of Nova Skvaryava, Lviv region.
He studied at the Novoskvaryava institution of general secondary education of the I-III degrees of the Lviv region. He was educated at the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Lviv Vocational Polytechnic Lyceum” (then Vocational and Technical School No. 33 of the city of Lviv).

After completing his studies, he served in the military as part of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In peacetime, he held a position in the State Security Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for a year (today, the Security Police). Subsequently, he worked in the construction field abroad.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend the Motherland in the ranks of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” regional administration of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Rak is survived by his mother, wife, two children, brother, sister, nephew and goddaughter.

 

Mykola Horoshko (18.12.1983-08.03.2023). A native of Kutkir village, Lviv region. Studied at Lyceum No. 94 of the Lviv City Council. After finishing the 9th grade, he started to do construction work.
Subsequently, he worked at the limited liability company “Barkom”, during the last period he was engaged in repairs. He was fond of football, fishing, was an exceptionally sensitive and kind person.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to join the ranks of the 77th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought against the Russian invaders in the eastern direction.

Mykola Horoshka is survived by two daughters, mother, girlfriend, sister, brother and nephews.

 

Roman Kondrak (18.09.1979-06.03.2023). A native of the village of Ryasne-Ruske, Lviv region.
He studied at the Ryasne-Rusky Lyceum of the Lviv City Council. Subsequently, he obtained a professional and technical education in the specialty “welder”.

After completing his studies, he completed military service in the Kharkiv region. In peacetime, he worked at the Vikont-II Limited Liability Company.

In 2014-2015, he performed combat missions in the area of the anti-terrorist operation as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After his return, he continued to work at Vikont-II LLC.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Corporal General Mark Bezruchka of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland. Defended the state in the eastern direction.

Roman Kondrak is survived by his mother, two brothers and nieces.
