Today Lviv region says goodbye to two defenders

Every day at 9 a.m., we observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who died for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.

 

🕯️ Vasyl Palamarchuk

Vasyl Palamarchuk (22.01.1981-03.07.2024) Born in Myrhorod, Poltava region.

A native of the city of Myrhorod, Poltava region.

He lived in the town of Oleshky and was a lawyer. He was a writer, the author of the book “Military Trash” about the realities of military service.

In 2014-2015, he performed combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation zone as part of the 28th separate mechanised brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the 206th separate territorial defence battalion of the 241st separate territorial defence brigade of the Regional Directorate “North”. He defended Kyiv region from the Russian invaders, liberated Kherson region, and fought against the occupiers in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

For his personal courage, he was awarded numerous decorations, including the Golden Cross, an honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Defender of Ukraine and Wounded awards of the Ministry of Defence.

🕯️ Maksym Kupetskyi

Maksym Kupetskyi (29.05.1980-04.07.2024) Born in the village of Nova Skvariava, Lviv region.

A native of the village of Nova Skvariava, Lviv region.

After graduation, he served in the air defence forces in Cherkasy.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. During his service, he was promoted to the rank of junior sergeant.
