Today Lviv region says goodbye to five defenders
Mykola Voloshyn
The warrior was born in Stebnyk. He worked at the Shakhtar sanatorium. Mykola joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 25 January 2024. He was a gunner-operator of the 2nd mechanised company of the military unit A0372. He died on 27 August 2024 during a combat mission in the Kursk region.
Vasyl Kuderyavets
A resident of the village of Yelikhovychi, Zolochiv district. The soldier was the head of the electronic warfare group of the headquarters of the military unit A7076.
He died on 3 September 2024 while performing a combat mission in Korenivka district, Kursk region. The defender was 54 years old.
Fedir Bondarchuk
He lived in the village of Podorozhne, Zhuravne community. He was the driver of an anti-tank unit of an airborne assault battalion. He died during a combat mission on 9 October 2023 near the village of Verbove, Pologivskyi district, Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was 35 years old.
Taras Foliush
Taras Foliush was born in Lviv. Later, Taras Foliush’s family moved to the village of Mali Hrybovychi.
Taras took an active part in the events of the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity.
On the first day of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the state from the invaders and joined the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo.
On 21 March 2022, the family lost contact with Taras Foliush. He had been missing for more than two years.
Mykhailo Pentsak
A resident of the village of Boyanets, Velykomostiv community. During the full-scale war, he served in the military unit A0998. He held the position of a vehicle commander of a technical reconnaissance platoon. The soldier was killed on 5 September as a result of an artillery shelling near the village of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. He was 35 years old.
Vitalii Slabak
A native of the village of Artasiv, Kulykivka community. He served in the military unit A0998. He died on 5 September 2024 during a defensive battle near the village of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region.
