Today Lviv region says goodbye to six defenders

Every day at 9 o’clock, we observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have died for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.

Today Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders:

🕯️ Oleh Baida

Originally from the city of Chervonohrad. He served in the military unit A4943. He was killed on March 1 while performing a combat mission.

🕯️ Yuriy Spivak

A resident of the village of Stoyaniv, Radekhiv community, Chervonohrad district. He was a soldier, a rifleman of the infantry division of an infantry company. He was killed on March 1 in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

🕯️ Viktor Kravets

A resident of Lviv.

He worked as a driver at Epicenter K LLC. He was fond of cars.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the 125th separate territorial defense brigade to defend his homeland. During his service, he was promoted to the rank of “senior soldier”.

🕯️ Vitaliy Nezhynskyi

Vitaliy was born in Belz, Lviv region, in the family of a border guard.

He was a subdeacon of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Yevpatoria.

He took a direct part in the events during the Revolution of Dignity, which forced him to leave the Crimea and complete his studies at the Boryslav Professional Medical College, a municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council.

He was a member of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps “Right Sector” and performed combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation zone.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to defend his homeland from the invaders. He fought as part of the 3rd separate assault brigade. He took part in the battles for Kyiv, performed tasks on the southern and eastern directions.

For his personal heroism, he was awarded the honorary badges of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Steel Cross” and “Golden Cross”.

🕯️ Dmytro Melnikov

A native of Drohobych, Lviv region.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the 37th Separate Marine Brigade to defend his homeland.

🕯️ Vasyl Pukshyn

A resident of the village of Yavora, Turkivska community.

He was a soldier of the military unit A4674.

He died on February 29, 2024 near the village of Novomyrhorodka, Zaporizhzhia region.
