Today Lviv region says goodbye to seven defenders
Vasyl Hema
Vasyl was born in Drohobych.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the defender served in Volyn in the 14th Brigade. During the ATO, the Drohobych resident spent three years on the frontline, with breaks for rotation.
Despite his health problems, he continued to perform his military duty. After the operation, he underwent rehabilitation at home, then served in the local military training centre, then in Morshyn, Yavoriv, Mostyska.
He was a senior warrant officer. He received many awards for many years of exemplary service.
The defender died on 29 November.
Andrii Dotsenko
Originally from the village of Porudenko in the Yavoriv community. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces. The defender died on 9 November. He was 51 years old.
Pavlo Krupka
A resident of the village of Sokolivka, Zolochiv district. He was a sniper of a mechanised battalion as part of the 66th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave. He died on 29 November 2024 while performing a combat mission in the village of Makiivka, Svativskyi district, Luhansk region. The defender was 24 years old.
Ivan Shyian
A resident of the village of Sniatynka, Drohobych community.
He was the deputy commander of a combat vehicle in the military unit A 4447. The defender was killed during a combat mission on 29 November near the village of Kurakhove, Donetsk region.
Roman Natynka
He came from the village of Hai Verkhni, Drohobych district.
He was a soldier, a sniper of the motorised infantry battalion of the military unit A4267. He died on 29 November in Donetsk region during an enemy attack. The soldier was 42 years old.
Andrii Kuzyshyn
Originally from Hnizdychiv.
He defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine as part of the 1st Mechanised Battalion, military unit A1008. He died on 27 November during a combat mission near the village of Petropavlivka, Kharkiv region. He was 35 years old.
Boris Shvyryaev
A resident of Lviv.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to defend his homeland from the Russian invaders. He performed combat missions in the eastern part of the frontline. First, in the ranks of the 214th separate special battalion “OPFOR”, then – the 33rd separate mechanised brigade.
