Lviv region says goodbye to its defenders today
🕯️ Oleh Strelets
He lived in Sokal, Sheptytskyi district. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2024. He was considered missing for a long time. Recently, he was identified and returned home.
🕯️ Yuriy Onyshko
He lived in the village of Dmytro, Shchyrets community, Lviv district. The soldier defended Ukraine from the enemy from the beginning of 2023.
He died on 2 April. He was 35 years old.
🕯️ Andrii Medvetskyi
A resident of the village of Zamochok, Zhovkva community.
He joined the defence of Ukraine in 2024. He was a gunner of the mechanised division of the military unit A0222. He died on 29 March near the village of Novosilka, Donetsk region. He was 36 years old.
🕯️ Pavlo Baziuk
A resident of the village of Katyn, Khyriv community, Sambir district. He was a serviceman of the mechanised battalion of the military unit A4594. He died after being wounded in action during a combat mission in the Donetsk sector.
🕯️ Leonid Balsan
A native of Sheptytskyi.
After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 46th separate airmobile brigade of the Air Assault Forces to defend his homeland from Russian invaders. After completing military training abroad, he performed combat missions in the Donetsk region.
🕯️ Vasyl Klym
Originally from the village of Ustia, Mykolaiv community.
He was a serviceman of the 24th King Danylo Brigade. He died near the village of Mayske, Donetsk region. The soldier was 43 years old.
🕯️ Stanislav Chernov
Born in Kakhovka, Kherson region.
After the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Stanislav Chernov’s family moved to Lviv. In 2023, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He performed combat missions in the Luhansk, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions as part of the 4th Special Company “Bulat’s Varangians” of the 210th Separate Assault Regiment.
