Today Lviv region says goodbye to three defenders
Volodymyr Popadyk
A resident of the village of Povitno, Horodok community. The soldier defended Ukraine as part of the 24th separate mechanised brigade named after King Danylo. He died on 2 October in Donetsk region. He was 30 years old.
Taras Mertsalo
A resident of Lviv.
With the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 3rd Luhansk Border Guard Detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Pikus. The Hero died on 5 October.
Vasyl Demchuk
A resident of the village of Volytsia, Sokal community.
He had been missing since December 2022. And in July this year, it became known that the Hero died on 22 December 2022 in the village of Makiivka, Svatove district, Luhansk region.
