Today Lviv region says goodbye to three defenders

Every day at 9 a.m., we observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who died for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.

Roman Kachaev

A native of Boryslav. In the first days of the full-scale war, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces. He served in the 63rd separate mechanised brigade. Last year, he was wounded, and after treatment, he returned to defend the country. The soldier was killed on 25 November as a result of shelling near the village of Torske in Donetsk Oblast. He was 43 years old.

Boris Babiak

Borys Babiak

A resident of Lviv. Since 2015, he has been performing combat missions in the ATO zone, then the Joint Forces Operation, in the ranks of the 66th Military Mobile Hospital. He met the beginning of the full-scale invasion on the front line. For his personal courage, the soldier was awarded state decorations, including the Presidential decoration “For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation”, the Badge of Honour of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the medal “10 Years of Conscientious Service” and many others. The defender died on 24 November at the age of 44.

Roman Yermakov

Roman Yermakov was born in Russia. In his youth, he moved to Lviv with his family. With the outbreak of a full-scale war, he came to the defence of his homeland. He defended the independence and sovereignty of the state in the ranks of the 414th separate regiment of strike unmanned aerial systems “Birds of Magyara”. The soldier died on 26 November. He was 44 years old.
