Lviv region says goodbye to eight defenders today
🕯️ Andriy Kirchiv
He was born in the village of Korchyn, Skole community. He was a junior sergeant, commander of the rifle division of the rifle battalion (for the protection and defence of important state facilities). He died near Volnovakha district, Donetsk region.
🕯️ Volodymyr Pankiv
He came from Mykolaiv, Lviv region. He was a soldier, a rifleman of the rifle division of the rifle battalion of the military unit A0998. He died near the village of Mayorske, Donetsk region.
🕯️ Andriy Kotyk
Lviv resident.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavriya Brigade joined the ranks. He defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.
🕯️ Igor Martyniuk
A native of the village of Vovkiv, Lviv region.
He studied at the Lviv Regional Council’s municipal institution “Lviv Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training named after the Heroes of Kruty”.
He received his higher military education at the Faculty of Military Intelligence and Special Operations Forces of the Military Academy of Odesa. After graduating from the Academy, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and performed combat missions to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state from Russian invaders.
🕯️ Roman Kohut
Lviv resident.
On the eve of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the territorial defence forces. After the outbreak of war, he joined the 103rd separate territorial defence brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He performed combat missions on the southern and eastern directions.
For personal courage, he was awarded the Silver Cross, an honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🕯️ Oleksiy Klak
He was born in the town of Zolochiv. The warrior was a driver-locksmith of the artillery repair battalion of the 146th separate repair regiment.
He died on 18 June 2024 in the Donetsk sector. He was 28 years old.
🕯️ Taras Bagay
A resident of Zhovtantsi village, Lviv district.
A soldier, a grenade launcher of an infantry battalion. He died on 22 June, 2024, near the village of Urozhayne, Volonovakha district, Donetsk region.
🕯️ Andriy Demchuk
He was born in Chervonohrad. He was a soldier, a senior rifleman-operator of the mechanised division of the military unit A4124. He died on 8 June during a combat mission near the village of Terny, Donetsk region.
