Today, the Lviv community said goodbye to defenders Yaroslav Bogush, Roman Demchuk, Oleg Kulchytskyi

Today, September 16, Lviv said goodbye to servicemen Yaroslav Bogush, Roman Demchuk and Oleg Kulchytsky, who died at the hands of the Russian occupier while defending Ukraine.

The soldiers were buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical references of defenders

Yaroslav Bogush (March 24, 1977-September 10, 2023) from Lviv.

He studied at Lyceum No. 57 named after King Danylo of the Lviv City Council. Received vocational and technical education at the Separate Structural Unit “Automotive and Road Vocational College of the Lviv Polytechnic National University”.

After completing his studies, he worked in the field of transportation, later engaged in private entrepreneurship. In his free time, he was fond of fishing.

During the last few years, he worked as a driver in Poland and the Czech Republic.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, despite his lack of military experience, he joined the ranks of the 1st separate special brigade named after Ivan Bohun of the “North” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland. After training, he performed combat missions in Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

Yaroslav Bogush is survived by his mother, brother, wife and two children.

 

Roman Demchuk (January 27, 1995-September 10, 2023) from Lviv.

He studied at the Galina Stolyar I-III degree general secondary education institution in Sukhovil. Received the education of “cook, confectioner” at the State Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Food Technologies”.

After completing his studies, he worked at Alliance Market Limited Liability Company.

He was an active member of the “Youth Nationalist Congress” public organization, successfully completed directing courses and dreamed of writing his own script for a film.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Defended the state from invaders on the territory of Donetsk region.

Roman Demchuk is survived by his grandmother, parents and two sisters.

 

Oleg Kulchytskyi (17.03.1996-12.09.2023) A native of the village of Pidbirtsi.

He studied at the Pidbirtsiv Lyceum of the Lviv City Council (at that time it was the Secondary Secondary School). Received vocational and technical education at the Higher Vocational School No. 29 of the city of Lviv.

After completing his studies, he immediately started working at NIKO-Zahid Limited Liability Company.

In his free time, he was fond of weapons and cars, and was an exceptional auto mechanic – he participated in car repair competitions in Italy.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, despite the lack of military experience, he joined the ranks of the territorial defense. Later, of his own accord, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Defended the state from the Russian invaders in the eastern direction as part of the 214th separate special battalion OPFOR of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Peter Sahaidachny.

Oleg Kulchytsky is survived by his parents, two children and a sister.
