On the Independence Day of Ukraine, the Sokal community said goodbye in large numbers to Defender Roman Shavlyuk, a resident of the village of Tudorkovychi.
There is no greater grief than when a mother buries her dearest son. The mother’s heart ached for Roman, the mother prayed every day and waited for him at home with victory. And we had to meet in the house.
It is impossible to look at the tears of a loved one who lost her dearest, with whom they had shared plans for life, dreamed of getting married, having children in a free Ukraine.
Ruslana’s sister mourned bitterly for her brother, because he was a brave warrior, defending his Motherland, but the hand of the occupier cut off his life.
Bitter tears, despair, despair covered everyone who came today to say goodbye to Roman, because he was a true Patriot, Defender, returned from Poland in the first days of the war and volunteered to defend Ukraine. From now on, he will be 26 forever.
We must remember the high price Ukraine is paying for our Independence every day. We are eternally indebted to the families of the fallen Heroes.
