Today, March 16, the Turkiv community met the fallen Hero who courageously defended Ukraine from the enemy.

Gunner of the command of the 2nd motorized infantry company of military unit A2962, soldier SHEVTSIV YURIY ROMANOVYCH, born on May 6, 1995, a resident of Turka, Lviv region, died in the course of hostilities near the village of Vugledar, Donetsk region, on February 19, 2023, during the execution of measures from ensuring national security and defense, repelling and deterring armed aggression, protecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Today in Turka, the memory of the fallen defender was commemorated in Rynok Square near the statue of the Mother of God with a joint prayer. From here, the cortege with Hero’s body went to the house where Yura lived (Turka, Serednya Street).
Farewell to the Hero will take place on March 17, 2023. (Church of St. Nicholas, Turka, Serednya Street).
