Three National Guardsmen from Lviv region were posthumously awarded the Order of Honor “For Courage”, III degree

The state awards were personally presented to the relatives of the fallen servicemen by Brigadier General Oleksandr Buravkov, Head of the Western Territorial Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine, and Colonel Yevhen Vasylenko, Commander of the Second Galician Brigade.

According to the Decrees of the President of Ukraine, they received the orders:

Senior soldier Andriy Onishko.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Chervona Kalyna Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. During his service, the warrior was awarded the NGU badge “For Valiant Service”. He died on August 13, 2023, while performing a combat mission. He was 42 years old.

Senior Lieutenant Maksym Shulha

On the first day of the full-scale war, February 24, 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces. He performed combat missions as part of the Second Galician Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. The defender died on January 23, 2023 at the age of 43.

Soldier Nazariy Kravets

During the full-scale war, he defended his homeland in the ranks of the 50th Regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochen of the National Guard of Ukraine as a rifleman. The soldier died on July 30, 2023. He was 23 years old.
